PC Magazine is great. And PC Computer. They’re on the web too. I check out PC Magazine before I buy something. Their opinions are unbiased and not influenced by commercialism.

Go buy a HP Pavilion DV7-1090ED, update the bios and there is no problem…

My notebook is 24/7 turned on, sometimes i reboot for windows updat or the laptop uses to many memory at the time,

bet the laptop is nou 1,5 years turned on, and no trouble, i had 1 time a defective hard drive, i contacted the Support chat on the website, and after 3 days i got a new hard drive, since that time no any problems…

A laptop cooling fan has helped keep it from overheating, but it still doesn’t recognize that I have a wireless card. I think the problem started only after I started watching videos on my laptop – based on what I’ve read on the HP forums, etc., I think there is some problem with the video card which overheats and then screws up the wireless card. I’m probably not paraphrasing that very well, but the long and the short of it is that this is a known defect that they should fix!

@ddudgeon Yup same here.Was online yesterday, on my WiFi. Now the Wifi light is red, meaning it is off. I toggled it to the side, nothing. Checked for connectivity through the computer, nothing.

Fuck you HP!

Well my fight has been with Best Buy so far, since I have a warranty but it expires in March of 2010 and I’ve already clocked two repairs, I know a face-off with HP is inevitable.
